The inaugural "Invest in Germany Summit" takes place in Berlin.

On the evening of 19, 10 in 2026, the inaugural "Invest in Germany Summit," hosted by the German Federal Government, opened at the Kraftwerk Industrial Exhibition Hall in Berlin. German Chancellor Merz attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech. Representatives from leading international tech companies, including NVIDIA founder and CEO Jensen Huang and Amazon, were present to discuss investment opportunities in Germany as a global hub for innovation and industrial AI.
According to official German federal government sources and reports from Deutsche Welle, several major cooperative projects were launched during the summit. NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang announced a deep collaboration with Germany, supplying approximately 1 million high-performance chips to accelerate AI applications in German industry, alongside plans to invest around 10 billion euros in AI data centers. Meanwhile, Amazon declared an investment of 160 billion euros in cloud computing and artificial intelligence in Germany, further expanding its digital infrastructure footprint across Europe. The German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action and the Federal Ministry of Education and Research also signed a joint statement of intent with NVIDIA to jointly advance the R&D and industrial deployment of "Industrial AI."
In the fireside chat, Jensen Huang noted that Germany boasts a globally leading manufacturing foundation and engineering capability, and that combining AI with physical industries will unlock immense potential. Chancellor Merz emphasized that Germany is committed to creating a more attractive investment and innovation environment through deregulation, infrastructure development, and technology investments.
During the summit, NVIDIA also announced investments in four German startups focused on "physical AI" applications in robotics, healthcare, media audio, and aerospace: Munich-based Agile Robots, Avelios Medical, Mirelo, and Reflex Aerospace. The move is seen by industry observers as a strong signal of Germany's commitment to integrating artificial intelligence with advanced manufacturing.
Analysts say this summit marks Germany's concentrated push in digital transformation and attracting international capital. As major tech companies ramp up investment, Germany is poised to gain a stronger position in industrial AI and computing infrastructure development.
